This hipster vegan spot has a big emphasis on sustainability. They strive to be eco-friendly in everything they do and take great pride in their nutritious dishes. The managers are very welcoming and helpful – they really care about every dish they bring out. They even serve complimentary green chlorophyll water to ensure your meal starts on a healthy note!
Their menu has some Tex Mex vibes. We had the Nacho Momma’s Average Nachos with extra superfood guacamole, jackfruit and turmeric cashew sour cream. We also had the Big Ol Burrito with extra superfood guacamole and sweet potato hash. The hash pieces come with a strong, tangy mustard dipping sauce. Both dishes were very creative and burst with flavour.
Some of their tempting desserts are raw, organic and gluten-free. Just make sure to ask which ones don’t have refined-sugar too. We had the Strawberry Blueberry Cashew Tart which had a nice crunchy base and freeze dry strawberries on top. The desserts are quite average and lack a wow-factor, but hit the spot nonetheless. The mains are the stars of the menu here!
We went back to Whyld Ass for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. Overall, the breakfast was simple yet satisfying. We had the Big ASS Bowl of Granola, which was small but enjoyable, and the WHyld JACKS. The big portion of buckwheat flour pancakes were light, fluffy and filling.
The drinks were underwhelming but hit the spot none the less. We had an almond milk Cappuccino and Coffee Smoothie with bananas, peanut butter, carob, and coffee. The smoothie is not a sweet, but it is thick and filling.
