This classic 1980’s diner has a super vintage feel with their old-school decor and neon lights. They serve huge diner size portions of real American comfort food, just without the meat! And if you’re gluten intolerant, they have a menu just for you.
We ordered The Radical Reuben Sandwich (one of their famous dishes) and Truffle Mushroom Lentil Loaf with Balsamic Brussels on the side. The Reuben Sandwich was mind-blowing! The ‘corn beef’ seitan is soft and juicy, while the marble rye is perfectly crunchy. The Truffle Loaf is proper soul-food that makes you feel good inside. The truffle sauce is perfectly balanced with the salty loaf beneath it. The sweet and crunchy Balsamic Brussels are a heavenly way to add some greens to your meal.
Don’t skip out on their famous vegan milkshakes, and be sure to check out their vegan desserts too. But be warned, just because it’s vegan it doesn’t mean it’s healthy! It is a diner after all! We ordered Donnie’s Peanut Butter Puck, an ooey-gooey vegan take on a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, so there was no regret involved.
The service was really good overall. Our waitress gave us solid recommendations and helped us with the menu, ensuring we had the killer meal we did. Dishes have a quick turnaround time so you can be in and out of their pretty quickly if you need to.
