Comfort food on a whole new level! The Loaded Bowl is just so good – from the moment you walk in you know you are in for a some serious soul food. They were originally a vegan food truck, and due to popular demand they opened their diner-style brick and mortar location that we just loved.
The Loaded Bowl is famous for their vegan Cashew Mac + Cheese for a very good reason – its absolutely delicious. The mouthwatering ‘cheese’ sauce is simply soul warming, despite the carbs hidden beneath it. You can even order is as a side, which we did.
We had their Southwest Quinoa Bowl which is almost like a vegan taco bowl, with chips instead of tacos on top. The quinoa has a meaty texture and is very filling. We also had the Spaghetti Okie which is a warm dish of veggies smothered in a yummy marinara sauce. A light but filling dish indeed. The regular size portion is more than sufficient, order large if you want some food to takeaway. Food comes out quickly too!
The layout is simple, with a casual diner feel to it. You order at the front, grab a table and eat with plastic bowls and cutlery. End your meal off with one of their vegan doughnuts or cookies (not sugar-free), some are even gluten-free!
