Type: Modern, funky vegan restaurant
Go For: Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or Dinner
The Modern Vegan is as big and bold and Vegas itself! This is by far one of the best restaurants we visited on our entire road trip, we still talk about the nachos to this day.
This trendy, funky restaurant attracts a mixed a crowd from all parts of Las Vegas. Young and old, hip and trendy, they all flock to The Modern Vegan for its outstanding plant-based food. The layout is clean and modern with a Vegas bar twist. The music is loud, the vibe is pumping and the food is bigger and better than you can imagine.
Their menu serves large-scale, 100% vegan, classic American and Mexican fair. Note, although they are purely plant-based dishes, they are not necessarily healthy. There are healthier options to choose from, but what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas so live a little and get the Nachos!
Just to be clear, their portions are HUGE. Starters are basically mains, and dishes can easily be shared between two people. We had the Loaded Nachos to start. This giant, ooey-gooey plate of loaded nachos was the best nachos we had on our road trip. It is packed so high it could easily feed 4 people! We then moved on to the Fit Bitch which is a great all-round meal. The dish comes with ‘chicken’ sausage, tofu scramble, veggies and fruit salad (this is one of the healthier dishes on the menu). We also had the Breakfast Burrito (I know, we ate a lot) with potato bites. The dish is fresh, tasty and of course filling! We washed it all down with diner style black coffee and almond milk (there is no barista making lattes btw). Sadly, after stuffing ourselves with starters and mains, we were too full for dessert or milkshakes, but they looked amazing. We caught a glimpse of the ‘Chicken’ n Waffles and couldn’t resist taking a picture. This over-the-top dish was a poplar order coming out the kitchen, so it must be good.
If you are in Vegas, vegan or just plant-curious, you have to go to The Modern Vegan. This family owned and run business may not on the strip, but it is close enough to venture out to. Note that they are closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly.
So cool! I am going to Vegas in November so I will try to come here. I love Mexican food! Great post
Enjoy! This place is amazing 🙂
So excited 🙂
